Pita Jungle Hummus
Pita Jungle Hummus
Ingredients
- 2 (15 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed (save ½ c. of the juice )
- 2 large garlic cloves
- ¼ cup lime juice
- 1/3 cup tahini paste
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp cumin
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 large jalapenos (remove seeds and membranes for milder heat)
- ¾ cup fresh chopped cilantro or ¼ cup dried
- cayenne pepper to taste, (optional)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, except for the reserved garbanzo bean juice, to the work bowl of your food processor.
- Process until well blended.
- While the processor is still running, slowly add reserved garbanzo bean juice through the feed chute until desired consistency is reached.
- Garnish with paprika
