Green Smoothie
(2 quarts)
This recipe is: 1/3 liquid; 1/3 blended greens; 1/3 fruit
Wash and rinse greens and fruit well.
Approx. 22 to 24 ounces cold water, or Rejuvelac
Add:
1 to 2 Tbsp flax seed (if desired)
ΒΌ cup dates, chopped (approx. 4 whole dates) or 2 TBSP agave nectar
frozen Lemon rinds (few pieces)
frozen banana
(Variation: raw coconut or pineapple cores)
Blend well (2 cycles of whole juice setting)
Add:
cleaned greens (about 8 ounces)
(In a Blendtec Wildside jar it reaches the top of the Blendtec writing)
Pulse a few times
Add a combination of fruit until blended reaches the marker line:
(If using a Blendtec measure and mark a 2 qt. line on your jar with a sharpie.)
for example: orange, peeled
apple
banana
pineapple
or Frozen fruit (1 lb. bag of Dole)
Blend well (2 cycles of whole juice setting)
This recipe will keep up to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
