Pesto

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup pinenuts or almonds
  • ½ to 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Toast almonds or pinenuts at 450 for about 5 minutes. Cool.
  • (Watch them closely or they will burn.)
  • Combine all ingredients in your food procesor. Blend until well mixed.
  • Can be frozen.
  • Make double batches at a time.
