Cocoa Almonds

Ingredients

    Soak and dehydrate:
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • (Soak in water 8 – 10 hours, drain, rinse, and dehydrated at 105° approx. 6 hours)
    Mix:
  • 1 Tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp agave nectar
  • 1 Tbsp raw cacao powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Add almonds to the mixture.
  • Allow them to sit for a couple of hours to absorb the coating.
  • Spread mixture evenly on dehydrator fruit roll sheet and dry until no longer wet/sticky—about 14 to 18 hours, below 115 degrees.
  • (Can be transferred to a screen-type tray that allows more airflow after partially dry)
  • Coat the finished almonds with the following mixture: 2 Tbsp raw cacao powder and 2 Tbsp coconut palm sugar
  • Store in refrigerator or freeze.
