Basic Almond Milk
Ingredients
- 1 rounded cup *soaked almonds
- ¼ cup chopped dates
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- 4½ cups water
Instructions
- Blend on high speed for about 2 minutes total.
- Position the nut bag over a large bowl or pitcher and pour in nut milk puree.
- Twist and squeeze the bag gently, allowing the filtered milk to collect until the pulp is dry.
- Refrigerate immediately and serve well chilled.
- Can frozen
*Soaking the almonds 8 – 10 hours removes the impurities and will sprout truly raw almonds. I soak a lot of almonds overnight and rinse them. Drain well and then freeze. I use the frozen almonds right from the freezer in the recipe.
