Basic Almond Milk

Ingredients

  • 1 rounded cup *soaked almonds
  • ¼ cup chopped dates
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 4½ cups water

Instructions

  • Blend on high speed for about 2 minutes total.
  • Position the nut bag over a large bowl or pitcher and pour in nut milk puree.
  • Twist and squeeze the bag gently, allowing the filtered milk to collect until the pulp is dry.
  • Refrigerate immediately and serve well chilled.
  • Can frozen

*Soaking the almonds 8 – 10 hours removes the impurities and will sprout truly raw almonds. I soak a lot of almonds overnight and rinse them. Drain well and then freeze. I use the frozen almonds right from the freezer in the recipe.
